Rebounders Canada is a grassroots support group for Adult Survivors of Childhood Cancer. It was
founded and run by survivors aided by a board of directors.
Our common experiences enable us to accept and understand each other. Our goal is to help survivors
live today to the fullest and to look forward to tomorrow with great anticipation. Our motto is,
"thriving,
not just surviving"
We help our core group of survivors in the Greater Toronto Area deal with the challenges that follow
successful treatment of childhood cancer, by providing:
regular meetings which lead to meaningful social relationships with fellow survivors,
opportunities to attend conferences and camps,
travel assistance,
help in marketing the products of their "cottage industries",
regular communications through our
"Reflections"
newsletter.
We reach out to other survivors, wherever they are and offer them the support of Rebounders. We
welcome you to review our
programs
to see if we offer something for you.
Grow our programs to provide more frequent, exciting and challenging group activities,
Provide more opportunities for communication between Rebounders, by providing computers for
communications,
Reach out to other survivors and end their isolation,
Support the formation of other groups of cancer survivors to meet their needs where ever they are
in Canada.
